Once all the factors have been tested and still don't provide a logical answer , then something strange or Paranormal is happening . The Lutz’s also claimed to have been driven from their home by phantom footsteps , clouds of flies , horrible smells , windows breaking simultaneously ,extreme cold and hot spots , mood swings , levitations , and being scratched and touched by ghostly hands . A Polertgeist clearing or exorcism may be successful or make things worse . The phenomena can and does happen anytime of the day or night .

A lot of the documented chaotic type of poltergeist activity has been attached to young people going through puberty . Researcher argue that during puberty the turmoil in the body going through changes at this time creates a huge amount of stress . Stress is dealt with by the subconscious and unleashes huge amounts of psychokinetic energy. The PK energy manifests itself as objects being moved , thrown or other bizarre ways . Some believe that Poltergeist activity is a natural rather than supernatural phenomenon because PK energy is natural . It has not been proven that PK energy exists so it can be argued that poltergeist activity is a Supernatural phenomenon .

One time I even had a object thrown at us , and spirit rappings that answered questions I was asking that really freaked people out .
I remember when I conducted a seance during a Wiccan full moon ceremony . It was right before Halloween on October 27 , 2006 at Hamiltons most haunted location the Customs House . I was the medium who was leading the seance along with ten other people . The only other person in the building that night was the staff member who let us in . He was in the office on the second floor . After I had given a brief history on the building and of how the nights events were going to happen , I smudged all the people with sage .
I then went to the Western quarter of the circle and using my athame cut a portal . I then began to invoke the god Pan and the spirits of the Customs house to join us . I joined the others at the table that was covered in candles , and had all of us place our palms down with fingers touching the person next to us . This was a way to keep the energy flowing in a circle around the table . My partner at the time was the person who recorded the events and was sitting in a chair by the entrance to the room .
As I began the visualization exercise , we started to hear sounds coming from the hallway outside the room . I asked , " If there are any spirits present who would like to make contact with us tonight please make a sound , touch one of us , move something ? " and waited . It only took a few seconds before we all felt the temperature drop rapidly in the room . Then we heard a crash come from a locked off room beside us and footsteps run down the hallway . The people at the table were starting to feel uneasy . " “Thank you " , I said “" Could you please come closer and give us a sign in this room ? " Moments later one of the girls at the table screamed , as she jumped up and shouted, " something just touched me ! " The candles stared to climb in flame size and one started to turn green . This was a sign that a spirit was present . I asked for the spirits name and said , " Kathleen. The spirit wants to talk to you Kathleen and she is standing right behind you ." The lady who was seated on my left giggled nervously as tears streamed down her face . “" My middle name is Kathleen and that is what my grandma called me when she was alive . She died 2 months ago ." All at the table fell silent in awe . During the seance the coldness swirled around the table , candles blew out , and the sounds in the building continued . The strange part is that there were no doors or windows open to influence any of the activity.
When the seance was finished , the portal sealed , and the circle released we checked the other rooms to find that objects had been moved and doors opened . The staff member also said that he had heard children running and giggling on the second floor outside the office . He had been employed at the building for 4 years and this was the first time he had witnessed anything paranormal before . It was truly a night of poltergeist activity that all who were present won't ever forget .
A Cyclic Haunting is alleged to happen at a specific date and time . This type of haunting is simple to identify and can involve multiple events . It is possible to have a Grounded and Residual haunting in the same location and the two incidents may even be connected . It only took a few seconds before we all felt the temperature drop rapidly in the room . Then we heard a crash come from a locked off room beside us and footsteps run down the hallway . The people at the table were starting to feel uneasy . " “Thank you " , I said “" Could you please come closer and give us a sign in this room ? " Moments later one of the girls at the table screamed , as she jumped up and shouted, " something just touched me ! " The candles stared to climb in flame size and one started to turn green . This was a sign that a spirit was present . I asked for the spirits name and said , " Kathleen. The spirit wants to talk to you Kathleen and she is standing right behind you ." The lady who was seated on my left giggled nervously as tears streamed down her face . “" My middle name is Kathleen and that is what my grandma called me when she was alive . She died 2 months ago ." All at the table fell silent in awe . During the seance the coldness swirled around the table , candles blew out , and the sounds in the building continued . The strange part is that there were no doors or windows open to influence any of the activity.
When the seance was finished , the portal sealed , and the circle released we checked the other rooms to find that objects had been moved and doors opened . The staff member also said that he had heard children running and giggling on the second floor outside the office . He had been employed at the building for 4 years and this was the first time he had witnessed anything paranormal before . It was truly a night of poltergeist activity that all who were present won't ever forget .
A Cyclic Haunting is alleged to happen at a specific date and time . This type of haunting is simple to identify and can involve multiple events . It is possible to have a Grounded and Residual haunting in the same location and the two incidents may even be connected . A murder may leave a residual event that replays , while the main entities manifest themselves as grounded spirits trying to resolve a problem in another part of the location . Most of the stories I've shared with you fall into this category . The phenomena starts at a certain time daily and includes two or three of the types of hauntings I have covered .
The most important thing to remember as an investigator is to be professional , calm and and methodical . You must keep your wits about you and protect yourself and your team at all times . Communication and respect is needed from all members involved so that everyone is working together to achieve the same goal .
What makes a place scary ? Is it a creepy basement ? Noises in the Night? Unexplainable occurrences? Or , is it our mind playing tricks on us ? I leave it up to you to make up your own mind .
