DINDIGO  CHILDREN : WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN YOUR CHILD . AN ARTCLE BY JOHN BOYD .
Dou I remember growing up always being the weird child in the family . I have always been highly
intelligent . I was walking at 6 months of age . I was reading books and talking in full sentences by 18 months . Never liked a bottle or sippy cups , always had to be a "big boy" . Always happy and a
relentless  bundle of energy . The list goes on and on . My mom told me that even before I could speak , she sensed that I understood what she was saying to me .

I know that I drove my mom crazy . She was a school teacher for 32 years and I would always have conversations and needed to know everything .  I was fascinated with dinosaurs and the universe . Played music on instruments , sang and acted .  I was so far advanced by 4 years of age, that when I hit kindergarten , my teacher had me reading and doing work of a grade 2 student . Mom said that to spite them I hid my books and work in the sandbox so I could play with the other kids.   In my later years , I found out that I was an
Indigo Child .

I have been asked many times , What is an Indigo Child ?  I was fortunate enough that my mom
gave me a great book to read called, "
The Indigo Children " by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober . As I read the book , everything started to make sense to me . These  incredible authors were the first people to conduct studies and answer the mind boggling questions dealing with Indigo Children .

I have been giving lectures over the last 10 years , dealing with the Paranormal , Supernatural and the Occult , so I am going to share what I have come to learn . This is an article for parents of
young kids that may answer a lot of your questions . I now have a nephew who we think is the new generation of
Indigo Children .

    What does
Indigo the color mean? It is the color that represents the 3rd eye and is also a sign of enlightenment . Indigo has been attached to cosmic oneness and psychic gifts when seen in
a persons Aura ( the energy given off be all living things ) .  These children are great thinkers and
show patterns of behavior that is new to our world . The one common thing about
Indigo Children is that they demand change, from their parents and all who interact with them , when dealing with they way they are treated and raised to achieve balance . To ignore these patterns will have a devastating effect on the Indigo Childs mind creating frustration and imbalance . Listed below are
a few of the common behavioral traits of
Indigos . These patterns may even fit someone you know .
This list is taken from the book
" The Indigo Children " by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober .

1 . They are born with a feeling of royalty and often act like it .

2 . They feel that they " deserve to be here " and are surprised when others don't agree .

3 . Self
-worth is not a big issue . They often tell parents " who they are " .

4 . They have difficulty accepting authority that doesn't have an explanation or choice .

5 . They will not do certain things ; as an example waiting in line is difficult .

6 . They get frustrated with systems who rules are set in stone and don't allow creative thinking .

7 . They often find better ways of doing things , both at home and in school , which makes them
seem like rebels who won't conform to the rules .

8 . They seem antisocial unless they are with other
Indigos . If there are no like minded people
around , they often turn inward , feeling like nobody understands them . School is an extremely
hard place to socially fit in .

9 . They will not respond to be disciplined with " guilt " tactics . ( " Wait until your parents find
out what you did " )

10 . They are not shy about letting you know what they need .

There are four types of Indigo Children and each of them has a purpose . Author
Nancy Ann
Tappe
defines the types and characteristic in her book, Understanding Your Life Through Color .

1 .
Humanist : An Indigo humanist is a person that is going to work with the masses . They are the
doctors , lawyers , teachers , businessmen , salesmen and politicians of the future . They are
hyperactive and awkward in their body and will usually run into a brick wall without putting
the brakes on . They are extremely social and friendly. They will talk to anyone at anytime but
also have very strong opinions . They don't know how to play with one toy . They will dump all
the toys out might touch some of them or not . If you ask the to clean their rooms ,you have
keep reminding them because they are easily distracted .  They go into the rooms and start
cleaning , until they see a book . Then they sit down and read the book because they are
    ferocious readers .

2 .
Conceptual : The conceptual Indigo is a person that is into projects more than people . They
are the engineers , architects , designers , astronauts , pilots and military officers of tomorrow.
They are not clumsy in their body and  are often very athletic as children . They have control
issues  . If they are boys , they person they try to control the most is their mother . Girls try
to control their father . If they get away with it , this can lead to future problems . This type
    of
Indigo has tendencies toward addictions , especially drugs in their teenage years . Parents
need to monitor their behavioral patterns very closely . When they start hiding or saying
things like " Don't go in my room " that's when parents need to search their room .

3 .
ARTIST : If you have a child that is an Indigo artist, they are much more sensitive , creative ,
and are often smaller in size . They are the teachers , writers , musicians and artisans
of the future . Whatever they choose as their medium ,  they will be on the creative
side of it . If they decide to choose a career in medicine ,  they may become surgeons ,
or researchers . When they dabble in the fine arts , they are the actor's actor . Between
the ages of four and ten , they may pick up 15 different creative arts . The problem is ,
that they may only spend a short time on one and move on . So parents of musicians and
artists don't buy the instruments , rent them ! The artist
Indigo can play many different
instruments . When they reach their teenage years , they'll pick one instrument , field ,
or endeavor and become the artist in it .

4 . INTERDIMENSIONAL : The interdimensional Indigo are larger than all other Indigo children . At
1 or two years of age you can't tell them anything . They are constantly
saying, " I know that . I can do it . Leave me alone. " They are the ones who
bring new philosophies and new religions into the world . They can be
bullies due to their larger size and not fitting in .

In the next 10 years , all the physical life colors will be gone except for
red . Only the mental
colors (
tans , yellows and greens ) , and the spiritual colors ( blues and violets ) will be left . The
Indigo humanist is replacing the yellow and violet . The Indigo conceptual is replacing the tan ,
green and violet . The Indigo artist is replacing the blue and violet . The Indigo interdimensional
is replacing the
violet . As you can see the violet color is common to all four types thus the name
Indigo Children .

Indigo children believe in themselves . If you tell them that they are doing something wrong when they believe in themselves , they know that you don't know what you're talking about .
Parents need to set boundaries so they tell
indigos not to do something .

Instead , say , " Why don't you explain to me why you want to do that . Let's sit down and talk
about it . What do you think will happen ? Just play it out with me . What do you think would
happen if you did that ? " When the
Indigo child explains what they think would happen to them ,
ask , " How would you handle that ? " Then they will tell you how they would handle it .

You can't talk down to these children . You will have a battle on your hands . Just because you are older  and wiser , they do not use that as a basis for respect . You have to earn your respect from an
Indigo child .

Parents have to talk openly with an
Indigo .  As soon as they start talking , get them to talk a
situation through . If you don't start this with an
Indigo when they are young , they won't participate , unless you have a humanist . Start when they are babies by chatting and talking things through with them . Let them hear you chatter . As they get older just listen to them .
Follow your instincts  and give up on being an authority . These
Indigo children are very open and
will tell you what they need .  All you need to do is listen and tell them why you can't give it to
them ,  or why it's okay for them to have it .

This is only a tiny bit of information on signs to look for when dealing with and Indigo child . I
suggest that you read the books I have mentioned to get a real grasp of the topic . I hope that
I might have helped parents answers some of their questions .
Indigo children are a highly advanced breed all on their own . They will be an extremely intelligent , compassionate , and caring group for our future if properly stimulated and motivated .
